I Found You

I saw this picture and it was perfect. Perfect for me to tell all my dear WAG readers how grateful I am to them for reading my blog.

This year 2012, I found something I never thought I had in me. I found my passion for blogging which in turn made me find you.
I'm so grateful to God because I found you. You make it possible for me to continue blogging since I know that you guys read and comment, which in turn makes me very happy.

So here I'm saying 'Thank you for making me smile' and since its the last day of the year, I have decided to strike out the month in that picture and replace it with day.

So now it reads as follows:
We are in the last DAY of the year.... Just felt I should thank everyone who made me smile this year ....
You are one of them....
So here's a Big
Thank You!

Just try and imagine the new words on the yellow background *smiling*

INFO OF THE DAY : Go To Church!
It's the 31st of December, the last day of the year. If you haven't gone to church through out the whole year make sure you go today. Cross over to the new year with God.

I'm not activating over-spirikoko mood(being over religious), I'm just pointing out a really good truth.

Last Couples Of 2012

I am not sure any reception hall was vacant yesterday. Everywhere was filled up with different weddings. In the spirit of celebration, I am going to be sharing pictures of some couples who had their weddings yesterday, the last Saturday of the year, 29th December 2012. Their weddings wrapped up the year 2012 wedding calendar.

Some of this pictures I took myself, others were sent to me by friends of the couples. So you might not be able to make out the faces in some pictures. If you can’t make out the faces look at the outfits, if you can’t still see the outfit read the couples name and move on to the next couple.

Open your eyes……get set……..and lets go. Its Picture Day

INFO OF THE DAY: The Vena Amori Vein
Engagement and wedding rings are worn on the 4th finger of the left hand because it was thought that a vein in that finger led directly to the heart. The vein was called vena amori, or the vein of love, and early writings on matrimonial procedure suggested that it would be appropriate for one's wedding ring to be worn on that special finger.

Ok guys take note, if a lady strokes your head with the 4th finger of her left hand, she is stroking it with love. Hahahahahah

3 Weddings & The Shuttle

Saturday again and the number of single ladies just reduced. I have 3 weddings to attend. This is the part I say how God punish me with waka. Yes I know I like waka but why did God have to make three very important weddings clash on the same day.

In each of these weddings there is someone important to me, am still reasoning how to shuttle the three of them. Normally shuttling two weddings isn't a problem, I just attend church service of one and reception of the other. But now that its three, its kind of complicated.

Here is what I think I should do, attend the church service of the 1st one, the early stage of the reception of the 2nd one, then finally breeze in to the 3rd one to show face.

Ok now, another problem. Which do I attend first??? I guess location matters.
I would attend the church service closest to me.

I hope am able to make it to all these weddings because my friends all insisted I make sure I honour their invitations.

Oya yab me, I know say una go soon start with WAG, you be real wakajudge, you chop dog leg(that's exactly what my sister says). But let me tell you something about most extroverts like myself, we don't just attend parties because we want to, we attend parties to make our friends happy with our presence. Extroverts love satisfying people and making them happy. Like I say, what are friends.....if not for inconveniences.

INFO OF THE DAY : Pioneer of The Extrovert and Introvert Personality.
Carl Gustav Jung was a Swiss psychotherapist and psychiatrist who founded analytical psychology.
Jung proposed and developed the concepts of the extroverted and the introverted personality, archetypes, and the collective unconscious.
His work has been influential in psychiatry and in the study of religion, literature, and related fields.

I am a big extrovert sha, lol.

Just In The Twinkle Of An Eye

On my way from Ozoro back to Warri, I witnessed an accident. I don't know how it happened. All I know is that there was a bike in front carrying an old woman and a Toyota Tundra behind the bike.

Just In the twinkle of an eye, the next thing I knew was that the Tundra was off the road in the bush and the bike nowhere to be found. Both passengers on the bike were lying lifeless on the ground.

I came down from the vehicle I was in and what I saw gave me shivers. The bike man was bleeding profusely from his head. His passenger an old woman, had her ankle cut off from her body, her skin peeled off.

I stood numb just staring at both bodies on the floor, to even move was hard talkless of taking pictures. I wonder how those people that take pictures of accident scenes and the dead victims feel when they are snapping the pictures.

I managed to get back into the car, while the community indigenes carried the bodies off the road. I felt for the driver of the Tundra, although he wasn't hurt he was just weeping and saying "I never kill person before o".

Till now am still grateful to God for keeping me up to this moment.

INFO OF THE DAY: Car Accident Statistics.
World wide, 1.2 million people die in car accidents yearly.
Survey's suggest that male drivers cause twice as many accidents as female drivers.

I guess that survey is because we have more male drivers than female drivers.
In general sha, everybody should drive carefully.

Oooh! My Phone

The magnitude of my scream, could raise a dead man from the grave. Why the screaming? My phone fell on the floor, not a rugged floor o, hard concrete floor. After screaming, as I bent down to pick up the phone, I was just saying "Oh! please be ok, please don't get bad". If you heard me, you would have felt I was talking to a human being.

But I just had to react like that because I am not ready to spend any money repairing the phone.

Luckily for me, it was just a big scratch. I sighed and said if it was Nokia now, I for nor even bother almost bust my throat with scream.

Like all those Nokia 3310, if it falls you just smile pick it up and clean it.
Nokia's slogan suppose to be "Phone made of Steel". But funny enough its like there has been a great shift in the Nigerian phone market. Nigerians don't send durability again ooo. They go for credibility and performance. Whether the phone na rock or feather, as far it can do a lot of things that's what is important.

In those days, you must be sure to see a Nokia charger in every household but now you are sure of seeing a Blackberry or a Samsung charger.

Although, there are still very nice and powerful Nokia phones like Nokia Lumia but majority are Blackberry, iPhone, and Samsung crazy.

INFO OF THE DAY: World's Best-Selling Handset Ever

The Nokia 1100 is a basic GSM mobile phone produced by Nokia. Over 200 million 1100s have been sold since its launch in late 2003, making it the world's best selling phone handset and the best selling consumer electronic device in the world. The model has been discontinued.

This 1100 and 3310 can never be forgotten, their memory would leave on.

Inspired By Beyonce

I was given a Kusbi Sunglasses as a Christmas present. I fell in love with it automatically and what came to my mind was a picture of Beyonce wearing a similar glasses.
beyonce
I decided to try out this Beyonce look. Since I was on braids, I wrapped up my hair in a doughnut style just like Beyonce and wore my new gift.

Ok now, check out my Beyonce Inspired look, although I nor wear ordinary short gown because of harmattan, I nor carry Blackberry Porsche since my level never reach there and I nor carry baby since I nor fit do immaculate conception overnight. So the inspired look is just the hair and glasses

That’s me looking Kpokish , off to have fun on Christmas.

I had an experience yesterday. You know the way people say that pastors face the greatest trials and temptations, Me, WAG, I faced my own trial and temptation. I had earlier advised that we should all eat with sense to avoid having stomach affairs, omo come and see food everywhere I went, luring me to the temptation of forgetting my own advice. But I stood my ground, I said “Get behind me food”.

I remembered Lizzy’s comment yesterday that I should stick to my own advise to avoid being Kwarshoko-ish. So that’s what I did, I ate wit sense because I want to remain Kpokish and not Kwarshoko-ish, lol.

Xmas Eve Map

Its Xmas eve. I don't really have anything planned out today but I know myself, one way or the other, I must draw out a map of waka for myself.

Hmmmm...... So, let's see what am I going to do through out the day.

Ok, 1st of all - Blog (that am doing right now).
Look for my outfit for the day-Something nice but casual since everywhere is going to be busy and jam packed, so I need a smart outfit not a complicated one.
Call my girls up.
Go hangout with friends maybe touch one or two parties *smiling*.
Church later at night.
Then Sleep.

I pray the day works out as plan. I know it can only get better or better, not worse at all.
Darlings what are you going to be doing today? Whatever you do, have fun and compliment of the season.

INFO OF THE DAY : Mandela May Spend Christmas in the Hospital
The frail 94-year-old former president was admitted to hospital in the capital Pretoria on December 8. He is receiving treatment for a recurring lung infection and has also had a procedure to remove gallstones.

"We all wish that he could be home for Christmas, but first and foremost he needs to get better," presidential spokesman Mac Maharaj said after press reports he may stay in hospital during the festive season.

I pray he recovers soon.

Look Before You Toast

Omo nor small pikin again ooo. This Xmas season, everywhere is full with braids and weavons, no thread or ordinary weaving on female heads again. All the girls are set for Xmas and have fixed their Xmas hair. Now you can't identify who is a small girl and a big girl again.

Guys please look wella before you toast. This period can be very deceiving, so you don't end up toasting a girl in JSS3 because she fixed long weavon.

INFO OF THE DAY : Hair Fact
Next to bone marrow, hair is the fastest growing tissue in the human body. It is advisable to keep the hair clean and healthy.
Healthy good looking hair, equals nice physical appearance.

So guys know that hair can transform and influence a girl's beauty, so observe well before you toast.

The End Of The World

I woke up to an empty house this morning, my parents and siblings were nowhere to be found. I called but none of them answered their phones. I said shooo, abi rapture don take place, I continued calling and my mum picked. She said they all went to my grandma's and they didn't bother to wake me because I was just sleeping like one big log of wood. My mumsy sha can stroke person.

Talking about rapture, I just remembered all the many talk about how the world would end yesterday the 21sth of December 2012, and am still alive to see the 22nd of December, Thanks to God.

The World is Ending!!! That was what was all over the internet space. From the description, the so called World Ending was to be like the movie '2012' with earthquake&all that. Since I realized that Nigeria has never experienced earthquake before, I said good, Na for those oyibo people when dey experience am na dem go suffer that ending of the world.
So I decided to observe happenings around the world.

But from what I observed nothing happened anywhere, abi trumpet blow for some of una side when people disappear?

I don't think there is a specific time in which the world would end. We each have different timing for our worlds to end. An individual's world ends when he/she dies.

INFO OF THE DAY : The Origin Of The Prediction That The World Will End In 2012?
The story started with claims that Nibiru, a supposed planet discovered by the Sumerians, is headed toward Earth. This catastrophe was initially predicted for May 2003, but when nothing happened the doomsday date was moved forward to December 2012 and linked to the end of one of the cycles in the ancient Mayan calendar at the winter solstice in 2012 -- hence the predicted doomsday date of December 21, 2012.

So many funny predictions been generated round the world. That's how they said 3days darkness would happen in 1998, I remember me&my sister saving our blessed candles for the 3days of darkness, since they said its only blessed candles that would light during those 3days. 1998 has come and gone, and its almost 2013 yet no 3days darkness. Hahahahahaha

Wife Material Update

I have always known that the list of wife material characteristics consists of stuff like being matured, decent, responsible, respectful...etc.
But its like someone updated the list and now chatting regularly is on the list.

One of my friend's toaster(a guy who is asking her out) disappeared for a very long time, they haven't chatted in a while. Yesterday, he sent her a message saying she hasn't chatted with him in a while, that she is suppose 2chat with him regularly because that is how you know a wife material.

My friend another sharp Warri Girl, just replied 'WASHI', with the not interested emoticon.

Na wa ooo, guys can wash sha. See chatting has become a criteria for a wife material, na real wa. But wait o, I thought the era of guys using 'come&marry, or I want to marry you' to wash(deceive) girls was in the past, since the female specie got gaga crazy for brazilian hair and blackberry. So guys were na using the line of 'date me and I would buy you BB or hair'.

I guess since the prices of human hair and blackberry phones have become cheaper, the 'come&marry' abi wife line is back.

INFO OF THE DAY : The Origin of the Word "Wife".
The word "wife" is likely from the Proto-Indo-European root weip ("to turn, twist, wrap").

Husbands, read this definition well, it means do all the turning, twisting & wrapping with your wives not with one oshere mama (girl).

Greetings, My Darlings

Wow! I just realized two things.
First of all, its 5days from Christmas. Yes I knew in my Groover Washington, playful head that Christmas was around the corner but didn't feel it was so close now I can feel the end of the year.

Secondly, I just realized I haven't told my WAG readers season greetings. How can I not greet you guys. I just have to hail una because if I nor do am now, then e go be till next year, which I hope to still do by the Grace of God.

So here it is,

How To Correct A Mistake

When you make a mistake, how do you get over it? You open your head, clean your brain, sink the correction deep down inside your brain, and tell yourself 'its an experience and a lesson has been learnt'.

I made a mistake yesterday-money matter. I have learnt my lesson, never to make that mistake again.
I felt down for a while but then I re-gingered myself, woke up my Warri Girl spirit and said that's the way of life. We make mistakes, we learn from our mistakes and our mistakes makes us stronger.

INFO OF THE DAY: Inventions Made By Mistake
Penicillin is the best invention ever created by a mistake. In 1928 Scientist Alexander Fleming decided to go on a vacation without cleaning his workstation. On returning he saw a strange fungus on some of his cultures.
Even stranger was that bacteria didn't seem to thrive near those cultures. Till today, penicillin is one of the most widely used antibiotics in the world.

Other great inventions made by mistakes are;
Pacemaker(a life saving device), Mauve Colour, Radioactivity, Plastic, Vulcanized Rubber, Teflon, Coke, Smart Dust, Saccharin(artificial sweetener), microwave, and fireworks.

So WAG readers, next time you make a mistake, look on the bright side because you learnt something.

Black Monday

What a pathetic and black Monday it was. An 18 sitter, Delta Mass Transit bus conveying passengers from Sapele to Warri was involved in a terrible accident yesterday morning. It happened on the Sapele/Warri Expressway.

Nobody can give an exact explanation of how it happened but from the eye witnesses, the bus was said to have jumped from it’s side of the high way, pass the demarcation between both lanes, pass the other lane and plunge into the bushes.

All passengers died on board including the driver.

The scene wasn’t a nice sight to behold. Pictures from the scene were sent to me and I wanted to share them with you guys but I just can’t. The pictures are gory and I would want people who knew the passengers to have nice last memory of their loved ones not a gory one.

I’m going to share some selected photos with less gory sight. Even uploading this few pictures I  just can’t seem to stop feeling sad for the lives lost.

Caught In The Act

This is called, 'Caught in the act of scoping'. Nothing do the guy, its allowed for guys to scope chics. At least that na the natural order in which God created us, for the testosterone to drag the guys to the girls.

But sometimes, I think maybe some guys level of testosterone should have been reduced because the way they chase after anything in skirt, you go think say dey swear for dem come for village.

INFO OF THE DAY: Andropause and Hypogonadism
Hypogonadism is a disease in which the body is unable to produce normal amounts of testosterone due to a problem with the testicles or with the pituitary gland that controls the testicles. Some people refer to this as Andropause or male menopause.
But the word 'andropause' is not currently recognized by the World Health Organization.
