U.S School Shooting

I just watched breaking news on CNN about a massacre in an elementary school in the United State. Yesterday, Friday the 14th of December 2012, a young man Adam Lanza-20years old, opened fire inside the Connecticut elementary school where his mother worked as a teacher, killing 26 people of which 20 where children and 6 adults.

The gunman killed himself inside the school premises.
The police later found his mother shot dead in her home. They believe the shooter might have murdered his mum before coming to the school, although they are yet to find out what caused the shooter to carry out such terrible act.

What a tragedy this is. Even if the police are able to analyse what made the guy carry out such a mad action, it wont bring back the dead.

I feel for those parents who sent their kids to school, hoping to have them back home in some few hours, now they would never see their kids again. Its so sad :(

Presently, this is the seventh mass killing in the U.S this year but this one is different and has evoked a global outpouring of sympathy.

INFO OF THE DAY: Weapons Found at the Scene
Three weapons have been reportedly found at the scene : a 9mm Glock, a Sig Sauer pistol and a Bushmaster .223 rifle. It's not clear whether the weapons were purchased legally but NBC News is reporting that the guns used were bought legally and registered to the gunman's mother. If that's confirmed it means she and her students were killed with weapons purchased in her own name.

I don't known all this gun names, I had to go Google them out. This is what a Bushmaster .223 rifle looks like.

I think the U.S government has to readdress the issue of arm possession. Guns are easily assessable and it creates room for such terrible shootings.
