Blackberry Guru

What a boring afternoon it was for me. No aproko from any of my paddys so I decided to surf the net. I visited Linda Ikeji's blog read the gist there and moved on to other sites, still in search of something to captivate me.

Then I found it. How to Make Your Blackberry Load faster.

I quickly opened it because seriously the hangy-hangy problem of blackberry na die.
This was what I read:
Every action carried out on blackberry, like facebook, email, browser etc, is logged. Once the Saved Log hit a certain level, it tells on the phone. The RAM of the phone begins to slow down and this makes the phone hang. The simple solution is to clear the event log register, which frees the phone and makes it load faster.

STEPS TO CLEAR YOUR PHONE'S EVENT LOG
1. Go to your Home screen, hold down the ALT key and press LGLG (the letters) while still on your Home screen.

2. Wait a while for your phone to load. You will see your event logs.

3. After the event logs appear, click the Blackberry menu button and select "clear log". This will clear your Phone Log and make your phone work 100% faster!

After reading this, I smiled and decided to share it with my friends. I was just feeling like one blackberry guru who has discovered the lost blackberry treasure island.

But my bubble was scattered when my friend replied, "This na old school stuff na". I said "Ehen, I just dey know am now".
I didn't feel bad sha since learning is a continuous process and there is no knowledge lost.

Oya narrating over.
You guys are free to curse me Mugu now, for the fact that I didn't know this blackberry tip. Although I know that almost half of the people reading this didn't know it either *tongueout*.

Warri nor dey carry last, I refuse to carry last. There must be someone who just read about this blackberry tip for the first time today and since I read it yesterday am not last :)

INFO OF THE DAY: Top Secret to Make Your Blackberry Battery Last longer.
Charge!!! If you want your blackberry battery to last a long while and maybe carry you throughout the whole day, the major thing to do is charge.

As in, have charging madness. Anywhere you are plug that phone and charge it. Whether in the car, house, office. Use a car charger, wall socket, usb cord with laptop, just charge the phone at any given opportunity.

Supernatural Flyers

Jesu Christi! Lwkmd ooo. See the image they put for Nigeria, I just can't stop laughing. That picture show's 9ja supernatural flyers.

Just thinking back to when I was a kid growing up and watching foreign movies. I always had this impression in my childish brain that there were good and bad witches. The good witches wear white while the bad witches wear black.

When I go out to play with my neighbours, maybe after some papa and mama play, we start talking about witches that the good witches were in America and the bad witches were in Nigeria. The good witches use their powers to develop their country and that is why America is progressing but here in Nigeria the bad witches do evil.

Even now that am matured, I still get to see witches in movies. Like Bonnie playing the good witch to the rescue, in one of my favorite series 'Vampire Diaries'.

In 9ja its not witch, its WINCH. Wande Coal even said it when he sang all them winchy winchy ooo
Hahahahahahahhahahahahaha.

Wait sef o, I just remembered something. As a kid, one major rule that parents laid down was to never accept gift from strangers or eat outside because children were contaminated with witchcraft through money and food.

I guess most babes grew up and forgot that rule since they don't mind collecting money from strangers as long as its aids them in keeping up with the Jones.

INFO OF THE DAY: Woman Stabs Husband to Death
Ebonyi State Police command has arrested a 24-year-old nursing mother, Mrs. Edith Okoji, for allegedly stabbing her husband to death after a quarrel revolving around infidelity.

The accused, who was a law student of Nigerian Open University, has admitted committing the crime but blamed it on the devil.

Hooor! nor be winch dey worry that woman so.

Shopping Online

You don’t know what you have until you lose it.

I normally do my shopping online, not 100% Aje shopping where you place an order and pay with MasterCard. I do semi Aje online shopping via Blackberry messenger.
My friend goes to Obodoyibo(abroad), she snaps pictures of the stuff she is bringing and sends it to me through BBM and I select the ones I want.

So about a week ago she sent me these pictures.

Black and orange bag
yellow, cream and orange bags

Lovely bags shey. I decided to place an order for the yellow and cream bag, it looked catchy to me.
WAG readers I had an awkward moment when I saw the bag physically. For no reason, I didn’t like the bag which I have dreamt so much about.

My friend para(vex) follow me ooo, say my WAG kolo don start because I was been indecisive. I said '”Abeg E, free me”. Just as I was about leaving, 3 chics came in. Come and see tug of war over the yellow and cream bag which I just refused to buy.

Omo WAG readers you really don’t know what you have until you lose it. Na wen the girls start to drag for the bag na me,WAG, start to see the beauty of the bag.
I just quietly walked to where the bag was, picked it and said “ladies no need for una to give yourselves headache over this bag because I don already pay for am tay tay before e reach 9ja”.

Actually, I hadn’t paid for the bag then but I just had to do sharpness on top those girls head, hahahahahaha. To sharp nor be crime.

I have been rocking my new bag and am so loving it, check me out!

Security: Bounty Placed On Boko Haram

Na wa for this our country ooo. You can't go through a whole day without hearing one tragic thing happening in one part of the country. Most of the time, these tragic situations are associated with bad or poor security.

Our major security issues now are the case of Bokonizing (Boko Haram) and Kidnapping.
Yesterday, there was another case of kidnapping.

Two Lebanese and one Nigerian attached to Setraco Nigeria Limited, a construction firm, were kidnapped by unknown gunmen in Gbarigolor, a riverine community in Ughelli South Local Government Area, Delta State.

A native of the community identified as Mr Joseph Akpudi, working with the construction firm was reportedly killed in an exchange of gun fire between the suspected kidnappers and local vigilante after security aides attached to the expatriates fled into the swamps for safety following the heavy shootout.

Hey God! See country!! The security aides run leave who dem suppose protect. Lwkmd ooo. Those security agent just impacted the saying of  'Life na par head and e nor get duplicated. Every mallam with e kettle, everybody with e own'
GEJ, Nigerians are vanishing and disappearing ooo.
Even our Delta State government  should still do something about the rate of kidnapping in this state. This is a critical issue that would have been addressed since instead of making Okada a priority and banning them.

Security is the No.1 priority in this country.

INFO OF THE DAY: Bounty Placed on Boko Haram
The Joint Military Task Force has offered various cash rewards for information leading to the capture of the leaders of the violent Islamic extremist group known as the Boko Haram.

A press statement released by the spokesperson of the JTF, Lt.Col Sagir Musa, which was available online on Friday, named the leader of the sect, Abubakar Shekau and 19 others as the targets.
The task force placed a reward of N50m on Shekau, N25m each on four of the men, which it described as members of the ‘Shurra Committee’, an inner circle within the sect that is responsible for its major decisions and N10 million for various Boko Haram commanders.

Obobe, see money. Federal Government don charge. Let's wait and see if this bounty move helps.

Relationship Status

Marital or relationship status in our parents era were usually well defined. Then you just had Single, Engaged and Married.

But in this our know-know generation, you have different relationship status all in the name of enlightenment or open eye.

You see relationship status like 'In a relationship, it's complicated, static relationship, officially dating, in an open relationship.....etc'.

Ok for the 'In a relationship' that one I can understand, you want the whole world to know you dating someone.
'It's complicated', why can't you keep it to yourself instead of telling us.*eyesrolling*

Then for 'static relationship', WTF is that. The relationship is not moving forward or growing and you ODE, you are really proud to say it. Abeg wise up o.

'Officially Dating', *surprised emoticon*, what were you guys doing before??? Officially playing, huh!
'In an open relationship' hmmmmm.... what's the use of the relationship at the end. You for just write open, so we know you open for anything.

Like I normally say, you are not married until you are married. Whether 'in a relationship, it's complicated, static relationship' all na still single.

Thank God in filling application forms, they give you just few options for marital status(single, married, divorced, widowed). If not, many people for fill anyhow things.

INFO OF THE DAY: Gender Difference in the Meaning of 'It's Complicated'.
Most sites on the internet explains it as such that when guys put up relationship status of 'it's complicated', they mean they are confused in making a choice among different girls.
While for girls 'it's complicated' means they like a guy who is in a relationship with another girl, or who likes another girl.

Jesus Piece

Jesus Piece Chain is the hottest bling bling item of 2012. If you are into Hip Hop then you know how hot this Jesus pendant is.
The piece was made popular by Hip Hop celebrities Jay-Z and Kanye West.

It has also been worn by other celebrities, such as;
Cassie
 and The Game

Any time I see a picture of this Jesus piece, what comes to my mind is Hip Hop.
I got a different impression when I saw a picture of Papa Ayo Oritsejafor of World of Bible Church, Warri, rocking the piece.

Its so cool seeing it on him. Shey na Jesus piece na, so its good that a pastor spreading the word of God is rocking it as well. Nice one Papa ;)

INFO OF THE DAY: News From Fanatics
I received a brocast on my BBM which read as follows:
Please stop using the word "Lol" because the Devil's worshipers get happy. When they pray they say "Lucifer our lord" inshort "lol", so they think we are saying the same thing as them. So a piece of advise, don't use "lol" ever again. Please its for your own safety.

When I read this, I just Lol-ed and said the religious fanatics have come again with another one. Like some people say, everything is a thing of the mind. What I know is that "lol' means laughing out loud.

Re: My Posts On Nairaland

My previous post was about some of my write ups which were posted on nairaland and weren't linked back to me. I wasn't so happy about it yesterday but now am fine, everything is alright.

I know this one that I have said 'everything is alright' so, most people would be wondering whether I just hammered millions, lol.
No I didn't hammer but the CEO himself of nairaland, Seun Osewa, contacted me via twitter and also commented on yesterday's post that the errors have been corrected.

This was his comment on the blog and on twitter.
The threads in question have been properly linked back to your blog. We apologize on behalf of the people responsible.

Apology accepted. Thank you Seun Osewa for answering to my complaints.

My Posts On Nairaland

I was surprised when a friend sent me a message that 3 of my post were on nairaland. As in exactly the same thing ooo, word for word. My post about 'Friends and Their categories', 'Mad Experience' and 'Strong and Powerful Parable'.

This are the 3 links on nairaland HERE, HERE and HERE.

I was just amazed reading my write up on another site and they generated nice comments but what peppered my body is that only one of this posts was linked backed to me.
Someone by the name Engrtee was the one who posted it on nairaland. Me WAG, full blooded Warri Girl(full Urhobo, quarter Ijaw), I just went to the comment section and pasted my url there(www.warrigirl.com).

Pasting my url there isn't enough ooo! I am doing this post for Mr or Mrs or Miss Engrtee that posted my article there; go and link it back to me jejely or take it off the site.
I believe everyone should be credited for their work. Even bible talk am, "Give to Ceasar what belongs to Ceasar."

WAG readers you know that I like play play. I'm a playful person, but right now am serious-ing up(being serious).
I am placing copyright on all my post.
Yes o, before anyone can copy my work you have to contact me first and link it back to me. Shekina!

So my dear WAG reader called Engrtee, please go and link those other two post back to me. Thanks.

Experimentation, Varieties

Experimentation!!! That was the mood I activated yesterday. I decided to experiment a little bit on the blog and try out new stuffs.

You guys must have noticed yesterday that I made a change on my blog. I changed the main colour from blue to purple. That was my experiment number 1.

Normally, after posting daily, I share the link of the post with my friends on my BBM.
I just copy the link and share it with them. The link appears like this
http://www.warrigirl.com/2012/11/pay-it-forward-so-touching.html?m=1

Its quite long and lengthy I must say.
I said ok let me carry out experiment number 2. I went to uber twitter, posted my link there, tweeted it. The link became shorter and appeared like this
http://t.co/xkj1MR3N
which I copied and shared on my BBM

Now what was the result after my experiment.
For experiment number 2, I felt like Jackie Chan in the movie 'Who Am I', it was a case of lost identity. Although the uber twitter link appeared shorter, I still prefer my long link ooo, because all na identification. There my warrigirl....... is showing wella and I so love my domain name.
With this I can say experiment number 2 was a failed experiment and am reverting to my long link with immediate effect.

Ok for experiment number 1, hmmmmm...... Am still thinking about that. I actually like the blue, maybe because blue is my favorite colour. I had the mind of changing back to the blue colour last night but I haven't decided yet, the purple colour looks cool as well. Maybe this night when am relaxed maybe after a drink, a shot of alcohol, ogoro or anything I see on the shelf, I can then decide.

It was fun trying out these varieties. Don't mind me ooo, everything is fun to me*smiling*.
I think its a good spirit, having the spirit of fun and variety, because variety is the spice of life.

INFO OF THE DAY: Most Popular Colour
Blue tends to win most generalized surveys as the world's most popular colour. It consistently comes out on top in different age groups and gender.
Almost everyone loves blue.

Yeah! Team blue.

Pay It Forward, So Touching.

I don't know if you guys have seen the movie 'Pay it forward', if you have not, I am going to give a brief summary. The movie was about a guy who did a good deal for a total stranger and asked the stranger to pass that same good deal to another stranger.

According to wikipedia, the term 'pay it forward' is used to describe the concept of asking the beneficiary of a good deed to repay it to others instead of to the original benefactor.

I just had a nice experience of pay it forward. I don't know where to start narrating the whole experience from, whether from the begining or the end.
I would start from anywhere, so far you guys understand.

Most of you know about Gee a stranger initially (you can read about him HERE), who taught me everything about blogging. A 'pay it forward' has happened. I met a guy on BBM, a total stranger, and shared some blogging information and tips with him. To me it was nothing, to him it was something.

This was what he wrote on his blog.....
Still trying to get a hand of blogger and so far, its been a challenging but rewarding experience. I'm learning new stuffs about blogger everyday so I must give a special shout out to Foma (http://www.warrigirl.com) for being there for me and making this transition progress from wordpress to blogger a smooth one. You rock!

OMG! guys, I felt so touched when I read it. Like first of all I never imagined myself being a blogger, I just accidently discovered a passion for blogging. Its so touching to have gotten the hang of blogging that I can now pass the knowledge to another person. I don't know what else to say but am Proud of myself.

INFO OF THE DAY: I Rock
I just have to give kudos to myself , its all in the spirit of self confidence, so check out my guy's blog, the blog I aided in its creation(Oya it have do, enough of self rocking before I over swell my head). The blog is cool and titled Malcolm's Prose and Poetry at www.malcolmthestoryteller.blogspot.com

Mad Experience

Something reminded me of a mad experience I had during my service year and decided to share it with you guys.

One Wednesday at about 7 in the morning, I was rushing to pick up my clearance form from a fellow corper, my mind was just focused on where I was heading to. On the road someone greeted me 'good morning', like a reflex action, I just replied 'good morning' without looking at the person. As I answered something just told me, look back and see who greeted you.

WAG readers, you won't believe who was so polite to greet me, a MAD Woman. Mad!!!, this one had Phd in kolo ooo,
You know there are some people that are mad but they wear full clothes that cover their body just that the cloth would be dirty but this woman's own was just a piece of rag covering her waist her whole up(boobs) were expose.

I just stood, staring at who greeted me. I started asking my self, "hope am not mad?", because they say its only a mad person that talks to another mad person.

I quickly rushed to my friend's house to give her the gist. While I was gisting her, I kept on asking her 'hope am talking like my normal self'. Then I played one of my favorite dance song at that time, Kukere by Iyanya, and started dancing. I just wanted to be sure everything was alright and if I could still remember the song and dance the small Etighi and Azonto I knew how to dance.

See me, in my quest to make sure I was normal, I was acting crazy.

Hahahahahaha, me am just a crazy(extremist crazy, fun loving crazy, jovial crazy not psychiatric crazy) gal.

Forerunner Of The Weekdays

Gosh! Its Monday again, the most dreadful day of the week. I wonder why Monday didn't just reject the Position of 'Forerunner of the Weekdays' and give it to Tuesday.

Then Tuesday would have had to deal with lot of people dreading and squeezing their faces because he(Tuesday) reminds them of work.

I had to give myself a serious kick in the ass, actually kick in my brain, to trigger all my body parts to wake up and be alert. Like they say 'there is no food for lazy man', so I didn't have a choice even though I hated the fact that the weekend was over.

Its all good, I got to see the breaking of a new day, Thanks be to God.

INFO OF THE DAY: Facts About Monday
50% of employees are late on Monday to work.
Most people do not smile until 11.16 on Monday.
Most people use about 12minutes trying complaining about Monday.

Omo, this internet fact is really true ooo because I guess I have spent over 12mins blogging about Monday.

Strong And Powerful Parable

"Its a know fact that an atomic bomb can't kill a cockroach. Cockroaches survive atomic blast but yet die from just a spray from an insecticide.
It makes you wonder about insecticides.
If insecticides comes in contact with fire it can also be an explosive.
Insecticides I must say are strong and powerful killers."

This parable was sent to me by Mr. WhizzyKoko.
He interpreted it to be that Girls, whom he said are strong and powerful killers.
Girls are insecticides while guys are the cockroaches.
A man who has survived several serious ordeals of life can be crumbled easily by a woman.
His exact words were "fear who nor fear woman".

I know most of the male WAG readers would agree with him due to various historical stories about how women have fallen great men. Like the case of David and Uriah's wife, and Adam and Eve with the forbidden apple. Apple was also said to be used by a woman to kill one of our Head of State.

But before you all say women are killers take note of this, behind every successful man there is a woman. Women are strong, determined personnel. We are great pillars of support for men.
who run the world girls

Friends & Their Categories

We all have friends but true friends are rare, especially for girls. I concluded with my friends that female friends are grouped into this different categories.

1) The Gather-Go Friends: You and this set of friends are always on the move to all occasions and events together. Anything concerning groove you are friends.

2) The Matured Advisory Friend: This friend is resurrected only when there is a serious issue and you need advise or guidance and counseling.

3) The Concortionist Friend: This one is the biologist who knows how to mix all the gbogboyen-gbogboyen together. She know what you should take for menstrual pain, toilet infection and the major cause in which girls always take drugs(the after strafing mixing).

4) The Aproko Friend: Any hot latest news or gossip about another friend, this is who you are sure to hear it from or share it with.

5) The Perfect PIC: This is what I call a true friend. If you have a friend who is a friend with all the characters listed above, then she is a true friend and a perfect Partner-In-Crime.
A friend that you can go anywhere with, share your deepest secrets and thoughts with, advise you in healthcare matters*lol*, and also gist and gossip with*winks*, then you have found a rare friend.

6) The Frienemy: With this group of friends, you need your alert button to be on at all times. They pretend to be your friend meanwhile they are only concerned with bringing you down. In general they have the spirit of 'e nor go better pass me'.

I might be placed in any of these categories in some people's life, like some of my guys have place me in category 3. They call me wen they need answers(for their girlfriends) most times#justlikeishouldslapthemthroughthephone# but I answer anyway, because what are friends for if not for inconveniences.

INFO OF THE DAY: No Record Of Longest Friendship.
According to Guinness World Records, there is no world record for longest friendship. But there are people known to have friendship which have lasted decades.

Wow, if Guinness book of records can't have a record for the longest friendship, then indeed the saying that 'friendship is a tricky and delicate relationship' is true.

The Demand For The Creation of Warri State

AREA!, some people have decided to step up and say they want Warri to be upgraded by making it a state. They are demanding for the creation of Warri State.

This is from the dailies;
As the National Assembly continues with the process of amending the 1999 Constitution, there was a strong presentation by the  Itsekiri ethnic nationality of Delta State, yesterday, with a call for the creation of Warri State, just as the people stressed that it would put an end to the age-long marginalisation.
In the memorandum presented on behalf of the Itsekiri nation by Mr. Edward Ekpoko, Assistant Secretary of Itsekiri Leaders of Thought, the people said it was their inalienable right to preserve and control their land, language and their traditions and to participate in the government of the country at all levels.

Hmmmmmmm, am still trying to analyze whether this is a good move (thinking about the Warri Crisis some years back) no lele(problem)sha. I, WAG, I just sit back relaxed but alert watching to see the outcome of this, whether or not the National Assembly would take it into consideration.

Some people say Warri be like small dot wen dem dey turn round in one day, na the same Warri na dey want make e be state so.
Ok peeps, get ready because soon we may see the emergence of Agbassa Local Government, Ekurede-Itsekiri Local Government, Ubeji Local Government and Ogiyede Local Government Area. Hahahahahahahaha, its funny just thinking about it.

INFO OF THE DAY: Reasons Given By Mr. Edward Ekpoko.
“The Itsekiri produce over 30 per cent of the oil and gas that sustain Nigeria and sadly, they have no representative at the Senate of 109 members because of their minority position. It has only one member in the Federal House of Representatives of 360 seats and of the 29 members of the Delta State House of Assembly, it has only three.
“The area of the proposed state should be conterminous with the old Warri Division, Itsekiri homeland (now Warri North, Warri South and Warri South West Local Government Areas of Delta State).
