Its Independence Day

Hello WAG readers,
I know you all know today,1st of October, is our nation's independence day.

It has always been in your minds since primary school days.
I don't need to remind you that Nigeria is 52 because I assume that we all know maths and can calculate.
I don't need to write about how bad the situation of the country is at 52 because we can all see for ourselves.

All I need to write is this - 9ja na our country and there is no denying it, so Happy Independence celebration my fellow Nigerians and may God help and prosper our Nation called the Giant of Africa. Amen.

Oooh and tomorrow is picture day, so send in your picture of you rocking green and white. Expecting them. Send to warrigirl@ymail.com

INFO OF THE DAY: No Elaborate Independence Celebration Till 2014.
Nigerians would continue to witness low key independence anniversary till 2014 when there would be an extravagant carnival, President Goodluck Jonathan has said.

According to him, "Nigeria's independence anniversary in 2012 and 2013 would not be different from the low key celebration of Nigeria's 51st independence anniversary. The 2014 independence anniversary would be merged with centenary celebration to mark 100 years of amalgamation at the twilight of his administration on May 2015."

Like I care! All the billions they have spent on past celebrations it has never affected my life one bit.

Stay Sharp,
Warri Girl.
