AFCON 2013 Semi Finals

If you missed yesterday's AFCON 2013 semi final matches, HA! I don't know what to say but you really missed.

Its either you watch the replay on Supersports or you go to Igbo market and ask the Igbo boys whether they have a recorded copy of the matches.

Yesterday's games were spellbinding.
First, the spectacular performance by the Super Awesome Eagles of Nigeria which got us a straight ticket to the finals; then the tension filled match between Burkina Faso and Ghana.

Nigeria was on fire; the Super Eagles were on fire with a 4-1 win over their Malian opponents.

A friend of mine said he had high hopes for the match so he was going to paint his face in our nation's colours. Thank God the painting wasn't in vain. I guess for the finals, he would paint his whole body.
Me I nor paint my face o but my gullet almost burst as I just dey shout GOAL!!!!

Twile for the Super Eagles! Twile for Stephen Keshi!! I think we Nigerians owe him a big apology because at the beginning of the competition, we didn't have hopes for the Super Eagles but now we do.

The last time we had so much enthusiasm for the Super Eagles was in Atlanta '96. Now, they have woken up that spirit and made up for the years of their sleeping football.

The finals is a case of 'the first shall be the last'. If you recall Nigeria Vs Burkina Faso was the opening match for Group C of the competition and now again its Nigeria Vs Burkina Faso at the finals on Sunday.

Nigeria is winning the AFCON 2013 cup, Emenike is winning highest goal scorer and Enyeama is winning keeper of the tournament.

My confidence in the Eagles is so great, more than 100%.
So I can proudly say, I am WAG - the Kpokish 1, a Nigerian and I need a Nigerian jersey.

INFO OF THE DAY: Keshi May Resign If Nigeria Wins
Stephen keshi shocked media men when he stated that he could resign as coach of the Super Eagles aftre the AFCON 2013.
"If I win the cup I may pack and leave, I'm a professional coach, Nigeria is where my heart is and if there's any more offer out there...," Keshi said.

Hmmm...Yanga Tinz. E reach for am to make yanga joor, after we don give the man serious heat because of the first two performances.

Relax Keshi, your job is secured. Your boys are in the finals.

Stay Sharp,
Warri Girl.

Honestly Speaking....the high point of the match was Victor Moses display of individual brilliance that found Echejile with an "amunike's Tunisia'94 header"#Smashing

Yes i think that was the best goal. I loved the way Victor Moses was consistent with the ball and refusing to let go. I pray his injury isn't so serious so that he can play in the finals.

I don't think there was anyone in the continent apart from the ref and the Ghanaians that didn't want Burkina Faso to win. They had a spectacular game.

Its best for Yobo to be the father of the team, sitting on the beach and watching his children play.
