Awuf Dey Run Belle

An uncle of mine likes to say, "Be watchful of what and where you eat". Normally when he says it, I reason that he is insinuating that there are wicked people out there who can try to poison others.

But last night reminded me that not only wicked people can poison someone. Food too dey poison person.

Food poisoning is becoming common now. Even our First Lady suffered from food poison a while back.

Last night I had my own dose. My friends got some nice and delicious pots of Isiewu. Omo see wakis(eating)! I chop well well!!

Few hours later, my stomach had a story to tell. I had serious stomach ache, I nor fit sleep.
I find cry cry, I nor see. I find laugh laugh, I nor fit. The only thing I could do was sweat profusely.

The break of dawn was a miracle to me because it meant I could go out and get drugs.

For night I just dey ask my sef, "who send me o!". My friends were just laughing. Funny enough they ate the same Isiewu and nothing happened to them. Maybe because na dem pay for the thing and me na osho-free chopping I do.

You guys are free to laugh at me. I'm just a typical example of the saying say "Awuf dey run belle".

Thank God I didn't live in that era. Now that foods are properly processed we still have food poison around.
