Like play, like play the First Lady is gradually shifting from been a ceremonial office to an Executive Office. This isn't right.

For crying out loud, the office of the First Lady isn't known in the constitution. So why is there a N4billion vote in the 2013 budget of the Federal Capital Territory for the First Lady's Mission, which is Dame Patience Jonathan's mission. The N4billion is for building a mission office for the first lady.

Senators who reviewed the FCT budget yesterday kicked against the expenditure; Senator Babajide Omoworare said:
The Women Development Centre is there for the use of the First Lady to do anything she wants to do and I'm not aware that there's a First Ladies Mission in the US where we copied the presidential system of government. There's no such building in South Africa or Ghana that is our neighbour.

Why do we copy and not copy with sense in this country. The thing dey pain person. Have you ever heard of the American government allocating billions to the First Lady to build mission house? Kai! The thing dey pain person. See the kain big money self, 4billion not million o.

What is the First Lady's project all about sef? Let's assume its a project to help Nigerians, maybe to help the poor. So if the mission house is built with N4billion naira, how much would be left to carry out the so called project. That N4billion alone can go a long way in helping some Nigerias.

9ja! Hope we won't soon see Office of The First Daughter, The First Son, The First Uncle and The First Aunty.

INFO OF THE DAY: The Proposed Budget of FCTA
The budget of the FCTA totaling N253.199billion, of which N48.034billion is for personnel cost; N49.504billion is for overhead, while the balance of N155.66billion is for capital projects for the service of the FCT.
